Ammonium Bifluoride is white crystalline solid. It is corrosive and can corrode most metals. It is not flammable or explosive. Ammonium bifluoride will react with water to form hydrofluoric acid. Limestone is mainly calcium carbonate (CaCO3), which is almost insoluble in pure water, but rainwater naturally contains dissolved carbon dioxide which makes it acidic.
